AID STATIONS & WATER STATIONS

Stations will be located approximately every 1.5 – 2 miles apart.

PRIZE MONEY

All winnings will be delivered via certified mail to top finishers within 20 business days following the event. 

CANCELLATION OR DELAY OF RACE

Cancellation or delay may occur due to adverse weather and all weather announcements will be made on WYMT – Mountain News, WFTG-WWEL, WYGE, & WCTT.

FINISH LINE PROCEDURES

Runners must continue to run or walk until after they have crossed the finish line mat completely and entered post race reception area.

GEAR CHECK  - Gear check will NOT be available near the start line

Complimentary gear check will ONLY be available at the London Community Center on Saturday morning between 5:30 AM and 7:30 AM.  You will need to use the gear check identification tab in your Sport Pack and attach it to your bag.  Claim your gear after your event at the London Community Center no later than 12 PM on race day. Family Outdoor Dream Productions, LLC., cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.  Participants are responsible for any clothing articles they choose to discard along the course.

INFORMATION TENT

The information tent will be staffed at the Kroger Parking Lot from 5:30 AM to 12:30 PM to provide race-related information. Race Information volunteers will also be available (wearing orange T-shirts) on the corners of major intersections in the immediate downtown area to answer questions and provide directions.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical support will be provided by certified medical volunteers and will be available at each Aid Station and at the finish line.

LONDON DOWNTOWN CHILLI COOK-OFF & BLUE GRASS CONCERT

May 11th at the Farmer’s Market next to the London Community Center post race. Bring the family and enjoy good music and southern hospitality.

POST-RACE: LET THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH PRAISE THE LORD

Runners from across the world are invited and are encouraged to bring your families for a great night of cross-cultural praise and worship at 7:00 PM with Hawk Creek Baptist Church at the London Community Center.

POST-RACE TAILGATE PARTY

A tailgate party for all will be held Sunday, May 12th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Farmer’s Market, sponsored by Hawk Creek Baptist Church.

PARKING

Parking is available in a variety of locations in the London Area. Come early as streets around the start/finish lines begin to close by 6:30 am. Trollies and Vans will be running from the various parking lots for your convenience. Parking Maps will be posted online soon.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography will be provided for the race by a professional photogragher. Please wear your participant bib on the front of your shirt for visibility purposes versus on your running shorts or pants.  Post-event, photos of race will be posted on-line.  You then will have the option to purchase a photo from the photographer.  The photographer online information will be posted soon.

PRE-RACE & POST-RACE MEDIA COVERAGE

Area media, newspapers, magazines, and TV will be covering race activites.

RESTROOMS

Portable restrooms will be conveniently located near the start line, approximately every 1.5 miles along the race course (near Aid Stations) or after post-event refreshments at London Community Center, and the Farmer’s Market area.

RESULTS

Race results will be displayed as they become available at the London Community Center and will be available online after 2 PM here on our website.

STARTING LINE

The 10K Run will begin at 8:00 AM at the Kroger Parking Lot on North Main Street. Please pin your participant bib to the front of your shirt for visibility purposes and follow the instructions given on race day for the timing system.

FINISH LINE

The 10K Run will end near the front of the London City Hall, however runners should continue on past the finish line to the post race reception at the London Community Center.

RACE TIMING MATS

Runners must make solid contact with race timing mats placed at the starting line, at various points on the race route and at the finish line in order to qualify as a winner.
